A name suggesting the creation of something was decided on in the midst of the psychedelic era by four friends who had grown up together almost from the cradle in Dodge City KS, and have continued to play together for over 50 years. Putting a band together was the next step and with time, determination and help from parents and friends, they began playing school dances, VFW, Elks Clubs, Church dances, proms, parties, picnics, school lyceums, and later on in local clubs as well as hosting their own dances by renting local venues.
In Fifth grade, their early teens, when they started performing together, the same four friends, now, have all reached their sixties and still continue playing for hall of fame single fans, friends and family.
Playing together for a lifetime, this little garage band from Dodge City still brings people together for great times and great memories. Who would have thought that more than 50 years after we played our first 'real' gig in front of a bunch of sleepy World War 1 veterans at the Fort Dodge Veteran's Home that we would be standing on this historical stage playing some of the same songs we played at that gig?!!
I'm honestly not sure how this happened but we are extremely grateful to our friends and fans for putting us here! Birth, The Band, was just four precocious kids trying to keep themselves amused in a small town in southwest Kansas where the 'smell of money' was a part hall of fame single daily life. Always together, we played the music that we loved. No dreams of stardom.
Unlike other rock musicians, we were not 'raised by wolves'. We were raised by the "Cleavers". I'm proud of the music we played. I'm glad it made a lot of kids happy and annoyed a lot of adults. But, I am most proud of these three wonderful men, my brothers from different mothers, Jonathan Jambor, Christopher Cave, and Bill Warshaw.
Now Bill Warshaw has kept this band together all of these years. Musicians know that the only way to get musicians to do anything is to have a gig lined up. Bill would always find us a gig to play.
Bill, you have truly outdone yourself this time!! Thank you, Bill, thank you friends and fans, and thanks to the Kansas Music Hall of Fame for this incredible honor! Both had played with many other bands, but decided they wanted to play their own version of original Irish music.

Allan Bell - Kansas City. A trained lawyer, Bell served as owner, operator and bookkeeper of ABA, personally booking gigs and managing artists through the agency. The original trio consisted of siblings Danielle, Nick, and Kris Schnebelen bass, guitar, and drums respectively.
As a young teen, before she ever played an instrument, Danielle was an incredible vocalist. During the 20 plus years they were together they played in various venues in central Kansas, western Kansas, and southern Nebraska.
